Connect , Learn, Grow
Throughout the year we will be offering a mixture of online webinars and in-person gatherings, creating opportunities for parents to connect, learn and grow through sharing experiences. Whether you prefer joining from home or meeting others face-to-face, each session provides a supportive space to explore topics relevant to parenting young people (aged 11 – 25 years).
Online Webinars
Explore real-life topics with guest speakers, shared experiences and practical insights for everyday parenting.
ONLINE WEBINARS
Explore real-life topics with guest speakers, shared experiences and practical insights for everyday parenting. They generally take place on the first Thursday of each month at 7pm.
PARENT COMMUNITY
Parenting can feel easier when we don’t do it alone. Over the coming year, we’ll be offering smaller peer support groups to help parents connect, share experiences and build supportive relationships with others who understand. If you’d like to join a group or suggest a topic for discussion, we’d love to hear from you.
IN PERSON GATHERINGS
While online connections are valuable and convenient, there’s something special about meeting face-to-face. We’ll be working with parents and community partners to create welcoming spaces where people can connect, share experiences and build relationships over a coffee.
Watch this space for upcoming events and opportunities to connect in person.
Creating a Safe and Supportive Space
To help ensure The Parent Hub is a safe and welcome space for everyone, we ask all participants to:
- Treat others with kindness, respect and consideration.
- Listen to and value the experiences and perspectives of others, even when they differ from your own.
- Maintain confidentiality by not sharing personal stories or information discussed during the webinar outside the group.
- Avoid sharing names or identifying information about your child, other young people, family members or professionals.
- Be mindful that people may be discussing sensitive experiences and challenges.
- Contribute in a way that helps create a supportive and non-judgemental environment for all.
A Note on Confidentiality
We encourage openness and honest conversation but ask everyone to respect the privacy of other participants. Stories, experiences, and information shared within the webinar should remain confidential and not be discussed outside the session.
Important Safeguarding Information
The Parent Hub provides a supportive space for parents to connect, learn and share experiences. It is not a counselling, therapy or crisis support service. If you are looking for additional support for yourself or your young person, information about relevant organisations and services can be found on our website.
We are committed to maintaining confidentiality wherever possible. However, if information is shared that suggests a child, young person or adult may be at risk of harm, we may need to share this with appropriate agencies in line with our safeguarding responsibilities.
