Support for Parents

The following organisations have websites with many helpful links to services and support

The Reading Family Information Service provides a free individually tailored, impartial information, advice, and guidance on any family matter. The service is available to any family member (or professionals supporting a local family) taking care of children or young people aged 0-19 years of age inclusive (up to 25 years for children and young people with SEND)

The Reading SEND Local Offer is here to help you find information about local services, support, activities and events for children and young people aged 0 – 25 years who have special educational needs or disabilities (SEND).

YoungMinds Tailored information, advice and support for parents and carers who are concerned about their young person’s mental health.

Free Mental Health support is available through the NHS

Need someone to talk to now contact the Samaritans 24 hours a day, 365 days a year

For your Young Person

Our Starting Point project provides mentoring and creates opportunities for young people aged 11–25. Starting Point believes every young person deserves a chance to reach their full potential and empowers them to make and sustain lasting positive change in themselves and their community.
